He started his acting career in the Malayalam film Aksharam as an auto rickshaw driver. He started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan, Kochi. His death has come as a huge shock to the Malayalam film industry that is already mourning the deaths of many artists. He was undergoing treatment for a liver-related illness, according to the hospital. The famous mimicry artist died on 6 March 2016 at Amrita Hospital Kochi. Mani was approached and offered a seat in the 2016 Kerala Legislative Assembly election by LDF He was once an autorickshaw driver from Chalakudy.
